Flag Design: The event featured the unveiling of the party flag, which prominently features a two-toned maroon and yellow design. The flag’s central emblem showcases two majestic elephants flanking a peacock encircled by stars, with the vaagai flower—symbolizing victory—positioned at the center. The vibrant colors and symbolic elements aim to reflect the party's focus on strength and triumph.

Anthem: Accompanying the flag unveiling was the release of TVK's official anthem, composed by renowned music director S Thaman with lyrics by V Vivek. The anthem is expected to energize supporters and create a strong auditory identity for the party.

In his address, Vijay expressed pride in the new flag and his commitment to Tamil Nadu’s development. He stated, “We will work together for Tamil Nadu’s growth. Victory is certain, and we are dedicated to the welfare of the state”. The actor also announced plans for a major rally in Vikravandi in late September to formally introduce TVK to the public.

Vijay's political venture follows a notable tradition in Tamil Nadu where film stars have transitioned into politics. Past examples include MGR and Jayalalithaa, who leveraged their cinematic fame into significant political success. Vijay, however, is aiming to stand out by fully dedicating himself to politics, planning to retire from acting after his upcoming film, The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), set to release on September 5.

The TVK's ideological core revolves around social justice and equality, as message by its motto, “All are equal by birth”, inspired by the teachings of the ancient Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar. The party’s commitment to social equity will be a cornerstone of its platform, reflecting Vijay’s focus on addressing social disparities.

While the flag and anthem launch marks a high-profile start, Vijay’s political journey will be scrutinized closely. Unlike previous actors who straddled both film and politics, Vijay has pledged to concentrate on his political ambitions post his final film. The success of TVK will largely depend on its ability to translate Vijay's star power into political support.

As Tamil Nadu’s political landscape evolves, the emergence of TVK introduces a new dynamic into the state's electoral arena. The party’s performance in the upcoming assembly elections will be closely watched to determine if Vijay can emulate the successes of his predecessors or become another example of cinematic fame failing to translate into political influence.
